Sound has captivated my attention and affection one way or another since I was but a little girl, amazed that my grandfather’s wire recorder could magically capture, store, and play back our voices. Early music lessons started a life-long process of ear training — listening and hearing — that continues to serve me well. I love meeting the challenges film making presents; love and respect the people who do it for a livelihood, some of the most creative, generous human beings on the planet.
